Pitt-Johnstown’s Geography Department hosted its 29th annual Geography Awareness Week from Nov. 16-20, 2015.

Geography Awareness Week was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in 1987. The Association of American Geographers, the National Council for Geographic Education, and the National Geographic Society annually join with state organizations as well as college and university geography departments to coordinate a series of scholarly presentations, symposia and exhibits of cartography among other events.
