The Pitt-Johnstown Computer Engineering Technology (CPET) Program is intended to prepare the student for a variety of career paths as a computer professional. The program is layered on the Electrical Engineering Technology program to provide a foundation in basic Electrical Engineering Technology.

The program emphasizes both the hardware and software aspects of Computer Engineering Technology. In addition to circuits and electronics, students study:
A number of technical electives allow students to tailor the curriculum to their career objectives. These include: database management, compiler design, Windows programming, computer graphics, website management, and computer architecture.
