The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown welcomed a tour of the campus for Chinese students in the Johnstown area on February 11, 2016.
Among those in attendance were 14 Greater Johnstown High School senior Chinese students, one student's mother and father who flew in from China, and Pitt-Johnstown alumus John Ridella, whose family hosts two international students.
Brian Huston, an engineering professor, gave a tour of the engineering building to the group. Pitt-Johnstown will offer a University of Pittsburgh-quality engineering degree beginning in fall 2016.
Students were able to visit many labs and had opportunities to ask questions to learn more about the engineering program. The group included one student who is already admitted to the Pitt-Johnstown computer engineering program in fall 2016 semester.
Currently, 50 international students from 10 different countries are enrolled at Pitt-Johnstown.
